A Game Dating: Patience is the name of the Game.

It’s Sunday night. A spectacular cool fall night here in South Florida on Singer Island. A cool breeze from the north has made today, a great day.

Earlier in the week, I had a horrible date. The worst date ever. Let’s say I’ve had one or two that tied this. But reasonably, this was the worst.

We’ll call her Angee. Anyways, this girl hits me up on Bumble about 10 days ago. She’s forward but short. A strawberry blonde from New Jersey. Fairly attractive but not hot. Let’s say the fun neighbor girl next door… with just a hint of redhead trouble. A mid 7… on a good day, a 7.7 out of 10.

We had only a few sentences and she was quick to ask to go out for drinks. I let her know that I just sold my Porsche and I’m in the process of getting a motorcycle, which means I have no ride.

No worries, turns out this girl doesn’t have a car either! In theory she will be fun and not judgmental. In theory.

The best part of living on a tropical island is it’s a tropical island. 😀 We have 5 or 6 public bars and many big private resorts. It’s all inclusive once you get here. I got here years ago…

So in the Dating Game, he or she whom has the nicest place/town/location hosts. By default you go to the better place. Unless you live in nowhere then you both go somewhere better to meet and greet. And for me, it means in you live in 30 miles around this island, you come here, because it’s that good.

On Tuesday Angee asks me how’s my scheduling looking to meet up. I suggest to Angee to come to Island for drinks. And since she takes the time to come my way, I’ll pick up the drinks. Partially to be friendly and the other to lessen the dating pay to play feel, where she’s doing something for that drink and it takes a bit of the awkward part out.

We played the qiuet game on Wednesday. No textinging at all. In anticipation for Thursday. The classic game play of say nothing to be safe. The date is scheduled. Anything you say will probally screw it up.

Thursday rolls around and she gives the confirmation greeting in the late morning and asks if we are on for later.

I say, “Sure.”

Back to my adventure… So this new girl and I have a lot in common and she is a “match” according to the dating site. As much as I enjoy beautiful women, rich chicks and all that jazz, a relationship or a friend with benefits is much nicer if we have things in common for casual pillow talk.

Quite honestly, I’m fairly busy and content, so I’m not going to drive all over Southern California to go on date, much less for a first date. I live by the beach, why in heck would I want to get in a car and deal with traffic and get all stressed out?
